Get ready to cheer for your favorite athletes!
The much-awaited Summer Olympic Games will finally kick off on July 23 and will wrap up on August 8, 2021. It will be held in Tokyo, marking Japan’s second time of hosting the quadrennial event.
Initially, the opening ceremony was scheduled to take place on July 24, 2020 but because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it had to be pushed back a year later to make time for adjustments and the establishment of proper safety protocols.
Despite the delay, there is so much to look forward to at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, not only in the Games themselves, but in seeing our country’s representatives in action too! The Philippines has a total of 19 athletes across 11 sports this year who are committed to finally bringing home that gold medal, and they’re going to need all the support they can get! Luckily, there are a lot of ways for us to watch their journey as they compete in the Olympics.
